Docklet doesn't feel like an add-on. It feels like something Apple forgot to ship.

Everything you need to know before you install. More detail in the documentation.
Docklet requires macOS Sonoma 14.0 or later on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
Docklet is available as a notarized direct download only. This gives us access to system APIs the App Store sandbox doesn't allow, which is how the Window Manager and System Monitor widgets work.
No. Docklet doesn't modify the Dock itself — it simply occupies the dead space when the Dock is hidden.
Docklet uses Sparkle for automatic background updates. When a new version is available, you'll receive a quiet notification. All updates are cryptographically signed with EdDSA and delivered over HTTPS. You can trigger a manual update check from the preferences menu at any time.
Almost none. Widget data — clipboard contents, now-playing information, system stats — never leaves your Mac. The only telemetry is opt-in, anonymised crash data sent via TelemetryDeck. No personally identifiable information, no behavioural tracking. You can disable it entirely in Settings → Privacy. See our full Privacy Policy for a per-widget data breakdown.
Docklet never stores your prompts or responses. For cloud providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Perplexity, Duck.ai), your prompt is sent directly to the provider via URL query string — responses open in your browser, nothing is rendered inside the app. Apple Intelligence runs entirely on-device.
Just download Docklet on your new Mac and enter your license key. Pro licenses are tied to a key, not a device fingerprint, so transferring is as simple as typing it in. If you're on the Pro ×3 plan, you have three independent keys that you can assign and reassign however you like.
Start with the documentation — it covers most common questions in detail. For anything else, email help@madebycomputers.com. We're a small indie operation, so responses may take 1–2 business days, but we read and reply to every message.
