Docklet is a Mac utility that adds an always-on widget strip to your Mac, designed to look and feel like a natural part of macOS. It sits alongside your Dock without modifying it. The widgets cover everyday utilities often found as separate apps: media playback, window snapping, clipboard history, system stats, world clock, AI chat, and shortcuts. Each widget is carefully built for everyday use.
Docklet ships as a notarized direct download. Skipping the App Store gives Docklet access to system APIs the sandbox doesn't allow, which is what makes widgets like Window Manager and System Monitor work. A free tier covers core functionality. Pro unlocks the full widget set for $15 (one Mac) or $30 (three Macs), as a one-time purchase. An education discount is available on request.
Version 1.0 ships in June 2026. Work on Version 2, including additional widgets and features free for all existing customers, begins shortly after with a public beta expected later in the summer.
Docklet is built by Makana, an Apple alum who founded MadeByComputers to build things and explore emerging technologies.

A one-time purchase. No subscription.
Docklet is free to download and use with a core set of widgets. Pro unlocks the full feature set for a one-time payment of $15 on a single Mac. A three-Mac family-pack is available for $30, which works out to $10 per Mac — the best per-Mac price Docklet offers.
Both Pro tiers are one-time purchases. There is no recurring fee, no auto-renewal, and no upsell. Future Version 2 widgets and features are included free for all existing Pro customers.
An education discount of 40% off is available to students and educators. Email edu@madebycomputers.com from a valid .edu address to request a discount code.
